Who are we?
When passion for music and drums come together, projects like BeatBang are born—crafted through intense dedication and constant hard work.
We are Marcos and Diego, the founding members of this group, created with the vision of blending Latin rhythms with the power and energy of electronic music.
Our repertoire features rhythms like rumba, conga, cha-cha-chá, and a variety of Afro-Cuban styles, all seamlessly fused with the aesthetics of electronic music.
Marcos handles percussion, vocals, and electronic production, while Diego takes charge of the drums, providing the rhythmic foundation and driving the energetic pulse.
In early 2023, we began rehearsing for the first time, and within just six months, we had crafted a full repertoire to share our music with the world.
The “Beat” is what drives us, and the “Bang” is the explosive energy it creates.
Fueled by our passion for playing and a commitment to improving as musicians every day, BeatBang is a reflection of the best within us—our love for music and the joy it brings.

I discovered my passion for music at a very young age.
Anything that could be struck or played rhythmically was fair game for me, so it was only natural that I began formal training at the Manuel Saumel Conservatory. I later continued my studies at the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory, focusing on Percussion for Classical and Cuban Music.
-
In 2013, I moved to Germany, where I learned the language and began studying at the Staatliche Musikhochschule Mannheim in 2014. I graduated with a Bachelor of Music in 2019 and earned a Master of Music in Jazz and Popular Music for Percussion in 2021.
-
My early years in Cuba were enriched by collaborations with various musicians, exposing me to diverse influences.
-
While traditional Cuban music played a significant role in shaping my style, I was also inspired by flamenco. Yes, you read that right—Spanish immigrants brought flamenco to Cuba, where it evolved into a fascinating and unique variation, blending beautifully with the island’s music.
Summary What have we done so far?
Fotoshooting in Heidelberg
And we thought, why not? Let’s capture some great photos and showcase our full aesthetic potential. 🙂
Let’s create an awesome summer video!
We had an open-air concert planned for the end of the summer, and we couldn’t miss the chance to capture the incredible Latin party that Angela had organized. So, we called Edu—and he worked his magic.
We were awarded a scholarship!
Thanks to this support, we’ve been able to raise funds and create this website as an official channel to share our music and stay connected with all of you.
It all started on that day…
When my friend Marcos and I met at a concert, we looked at each other and said, “Yes, we can do this—and we can do it even better!”
